Cancelo joins inter on loan from Valencia


Inter have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Joao Cancelo from Valencia, with the San Siro side given the option to complete a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.
The full-back had been linked with Chelsea, although earlier this month Valencia CEO Mateu Alemany insisted there had been no offer from the Premier League champions.
Cancelo made 91 appearances during his three years with Valencia - the first of which was on loan from Benfica.
The 23-year-old made his Portugal debut against Gibraltar in September 2016, scoring in a 5-0 win, and he has an impressive three goals from five caps in his fledgling international career.

Cancelo joins the likes of Dalbert, Matias Vecino and Borja Valero in arriving at Inter ahead of 2017-18 as the club look to improve on last season's seventh-placed finish, which saw them miss out on European qualification.
The defender will wear the number seven shirt.

40 arrested homosexual test positive to virus

It is a piece of information that would alarm members of the public that 40 young men recently arrested in Lagos for homosexual have tested HIV-positive and now roam freely in the society as a result and the consequential catastrophe that could arise from such scenario is accentuated by two facts. One,the individual are not the age citizens. They are gay. Two, in light of their knowledge of their precarious health situation, there is a propensity among some of them to suddenly go on an infection-spree mission most disturbingly, the easiest thing for the malicious ones to do.
     The disturbing dimension of the fact is that these sex poachers are on an active recruitment drive. worse still, they have constituted themselves into a club of committed homosexuals drawn from far and near.
           Arrested and remanded,their case had quickly become a can of worms for the handling authorities. The prison authority hastily flushed them out of the facility to avert a likely HIV epidemic were they to stay for a further length of time,though not fast enough, for during the brief spell, one of them had sex with an inmate!
            The court too went soft on them by 'watering' down the bail condition for an office that is one of the gravest in the country's criminal code. Now free, as you read this page, that they could be infecting new persons by the day is not far-fetched.
               As disturbing as the narrative may sound, it is a story that is currently unravelling in Lagos state. It started with the apprehending of 40 suspected homosexuals  who were arraigned and were to be remanded but had to go through mandatory HIV test in Kiri kiri prison. The result of the test was the shocking discovery that nearly all of them were infected with Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) 

The arrested and the sequel
        Weeks back, policemen from the Lagos state command raided a hotel in ketu area of the state where several young men and minors suspected to be homosexuals were having meeting. They were having their meeting. They were arraigned at the Ebute-metta magistrate court and the yaba magistrate court in Lagos, for allegedly engaging in homosexuality, which is a crime in Nigeria.
           The adults amongst them were identified as Adedayo kamadupe,Abiodun Pedro, Ikechukeu onyebuchi and Dike Stanley. Others are oji charles Isioma,Garuba Ibrahim,Monday favour, Ayo Marcus Ayobamidele and stanly Adeasbo.Victor Isaac,Godwin Williams,kashi mawo Oluwatosin,Abass Tajudeen,Olamigoke Adeola and Yussuf fawaz are also the suspects.
             Others are Johnson Michael,Francis Michael,Samuel Adeyinka,Samuel Collins,kazeem Akorede,Adebayo Bukola, Ochiagha Ifeanyi, Babatunde Taiwo, Raphael Dugh,Keneth Ubaji,Alisi Ferdinand okechikwu, malik Ahmed and olamide Adeola.
         According to the criminal charge, the defendants were said to have "on or about July 29,2017, at vintage Hotel, No.999 Ikorodu Road/Toyin close,weigh Bridge,owode onirin, Lagos Magisterial District, did engage in gay activities by permitting male persons to have carnal knowledge of themselves against the order of nature and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 216 of criminal law of Lagos state ,2015."
              The prosecution team led by Ms Adetutu Oshinushi from the  Directorate of public prosecution (DPP), Lagos state ministry of justice reportedly did not appose their bail application but urged the court to direct the defendants to submit themselves to the Lagos state Aids Control Agency (LSACA) for monitoring the Lagos state domestic and sexual violence Response Team(DSVRT) for rehabilitation.
           The magistrate also granted the request of the prosecution demanding monitoring and sexual rehabilitation for the defendants,while the matter was adjourned to September 8,2017.
                 In line with that order,Saturday day sun learnt that the suspects were returned back to the  police station where they would be detained while they perfect their bail.
               Also, a non-governmental organization was said to have provided counseling HIV test was conducted. They got the shock of their lives when it was allegedly discovered that 99 percent of the suspect tested positive and some of them were already in an advanced stage. Some of them were already breaking down due to lack of medication

Girl sacrificed to idol in Lagos

Lagos state police command has discovered a shrine in iwaya area of the metropolis, where children are sacrificed to an idol. The victims are allegedly abducted while on errands for their parents.
Already,10persons have been arrested sequel to the discovery of the corps of a four-year-old girl in the shrine.
According to the victim's parents,Mr. And Mrs. Suleiman Taiwo, their daughter and two of her siblings had gone to the mosque in the afternoon to pray.
The little girl did not return with her siblings,promoting the parents to raise and alarm. A search party later found her corpse,at midnight,in the shrine behind the house. Her neck was slashed and her blood spilled on
Shrine.
Commissioner of police,fatai Owoseni,at press briefing yesterday, said the police received a distress call that the dead  body of a little girl was found in a shrine and swung into action
He said:"On the fateful day, DPO of sabo division alerted me that one Suleiman taiwo and wife came to the station  with the dead body of their four year-old daughter.
"Upon questioning,they said the deceased,with her two siblings,went to pray at the mosque by 1pm and was not seen since then. It was in the course of the search that they found the deceased at a shrine where Ogun (idol) is worshipped,near their House. Her throat was slashed and blood spilled in the idol.
"We recovered the knife they used in the murder of the innocent girl. we arrested 10persons,including the girl's parents because they are the principals

The Nfl and its players union became embroiled in an extraordinary public row on Wednesday regarding the suspension of Ezekiel Elliott

Della's cowboys running back Elliot was handed a six-game ban last Friday for violating the leagues player conduct policy. The ruling followed a year-long NFL investigation into domestic violence accusations made against Elliot by his ex girlfriend,Tiffany Thompson, Elliot denies the allegations and was never charged

On Wednesday,the NFL announced that commissioner Roger Goodall had appointed veteran appeals officer Harold Henderson to hear 22-years olds appeal.

In an unprecedented move,the NFL then released s second statement accusing the NFLPA(NFL players Association) of launching a victim-sharing campaign in the media to discredit Thompson Joe Lockhart,the NFL's executive vice President of communications, said in the statement. "Over the past few days we have received multiple reports of the NFLPA spreading derogatory information to the media about the victim in the Ezekiel Elliot discipline case", the statement read.

It's a common tactics to attempt to prove the innocence of the accused by discrediting the victim in this case Thompson's- when coming forward to report such abuse. Common or not, these tactics are shameful

"Efforts to shame and blame victims are often what prevent people from coming forward to report violence and seek help in the first place".
